Why Teens on Tour Matters...and How You Can Help.
One of Phantom Projects Theatre Group's most important, powerful, and crucial programs is TEENS ON TOUR. Imagine being a middle or high school student, and having an assembly. The speaker comes out, and he or she is 45 and talking to you about how you should live your life. Now, imagine, 12 real teens visiting your campus and talking about the world that you're going through...together.
This year, we were able to donate 8 performances to local schools. Our goal is to grow that number each year. And, not only expand the number of performances we can donate, but the quality of the shows. We need to update our equipment, our mics, our speakers, our projectors, and more. We need $10,000 to do this. We need you.
Some Things We Need
New Projector: Our old projector is over 10 years old and is on its last leg: $3,500
Lighting: Most schools we go to have lighting so old that we operate them with fuse switches, or worse! We need to enhance the experience with LED lights, that stay cool to the touch, but raise the theatrical impact. $3,000
Speakers, Amps, Power Distributors: Our equipment takes a beating from each performances and much of this stuff is nearly 10 years old and needs to be not only updated, but outright replaced. $2,500
Cords, Road Cases, Props, Costumes: Many of our smaller items are breaking, or just aren't good enough due to updated technologies and capacity building: $2,500
Set Pieces: We need more, newer set pieces allowing us to adapt to any location. $500
